Starting the Easter holidays off in good form, performance player Harrison Feast was runner-up at the Grade 5 Boys 12 and under tournament held at the Chichester Racquets and Fitness Club on Sunday. In the quarterfinals Feast defeated Albert Addison 4-2, 4-1 followed by Nicolas De Brunner in three sets in the semi-finals 3-5, 5-3, 10. In the final he lost to Theo Maclean 4-0, 4-1 to finish in the runner-up spot.

Competing in his first external Grade 4 tournament, Feast won the Boys 12 and under singles title at the annual Bradfield Easter Open event held at Bradfield College, Reading.

In his first day of competition on Tuesday, Feast beat Ned Hine 7-5, 6-0 in his qualifying match and progressed through to the play in the main draw. In the quarter-finals he defeated Joshua Davis-Lye 6-4, 7- 5 followed by fellow Basingstoke player Jonathan Duggan 3-6, 6-2, 11-9 in the semis to find himself in the last two. Returning to Bradfield yesterday to contest the final, be beat Will Fyall convincingly 6-1, 6-2 and won his first ever external trophy! Congratulations Harry!

ImageThen on Wednesday he won Gold……Great success for Harry in his first Grade 4 external tournament, a winners trophy and a big smile!

Ben Jubin who coaches Harry on an individually said, “Harry has done very well over the last week with some great results and bettered his rating too. Getting a silver medal on Sunday gave him confidence ahead of his first external Grade 4 tournament where he beat players with higher ratings and won the whole tournament.”

“He has worked hard and has only been in the performance programme just under a year, I hope he will take this new confidence into the next few tournaments and get fantastic results. Well done Harry!
