Performance player Harry Feast was the 12 and under Boys singles champion at the Absolute Tennis tournament held at the David Lloyd Centre in Southampton on Bank Holiday Monday. In the elimination event, Feast beat Zach Corner in three sets in the quarter final, after losing the first set and being 3-0 down in the second he completely turned the match around to win 1-4, 5-3,10-6. In the semi-final he defeated Leo Gamon 4-1,4-0 and then he won the final beating Hugh Wilkinson in another three set battle 4-2, 5-4, 7-3
Feast came away without a prize from the event but was rewarded for his tournament success with an email from the LTA notifying him that he’s moved from 9.1 to 8.2 rating as a result of Monday’s tournament.
Ben Jubin who coaches Feast said “Harry has done very well in his last few tournaments and this has shown by the improvement in his LTA rating. Now he needs to be more confident in himself, with his results he has been getting. It’s a shame he didn’t get a medal or trophy to recognise his latest win.”
