Mini Performance player Isla Hignett won her second 12 and Under Girls’ singles title at the South East junior Tournament held at Weybridge Tennis Academy last weekend.
Hignett, who won her first Weybridge event at the beginning of February, played in this recent event against four other opponents in the compass draw format. In the quarter finals, she defeated Inge De Toite 4-0, 4-0 followed by victory in the tiebreak over top seed Diana Mascenikova in their three set semi final encounter 2–4, 4–1, 11–9. In the final, Hignett beat Lithusha Balakumar, who had knocked out the second seed in her semi-final match, 4-0, 4–1 to take the title. Congratulations again Isla!
