Tennis Talk: Davis Cup

Fresh from their Wimbledon semi-final and finalist achievements Andy and Jamie Murray will now represent the Aegon GB Davis Cup Team GB in this weekend’s fixture against France starting today. Britain beat the USA 3-2 in Glasgow earlier this year in March to reach the last eight and the team are attempting to reach the World Group semi-final stage for the first time since 1981. The winners of this weekend’s tie will face Australia or Kazakhstan in September and Britain are guaranteed a home tie should they make the cut.

Obviously Team GB has Andy who is world number 3 and Jamie who is world number 20 in doubles.
