Bromilow Siblings Win at the Wirral Open

Performance players Miles and Jasmin Bromilow were both victorious at The Wirral Open 2016 in the U16 Boys and U12 Girls events respectively. The siblings, who are both Sherfield School tennis scholars played at the Grade 3 tournament at the Wirral Tennis & Sports Centre in Merseyside at the beginning of the month

In the Boys 16 & under event, Miles had a bye in round one and then beat Nathan Caines 6-1, 6-0 in the quarters, Robin Bloomer in the semis 6-0, 6-4 and then defeated Danny Urey 6-2, 6-2 to win the final and collect the trophy. Miles then competed in the Boys 18 & under event losing in the semis in three sets against Sean Drewry 2-6, 6-2, 1-0(3)


Not to be outdone by her big brother, Jasmin won the 12 & under Girls singles event beating Hanna Mjahed 6-3, 7-5 in the semis after a bye in the quarters and then defeated Lara Wedd in final 6-2, 6-4 and collected her trophy. In the Girls 14 & under, Jasmin had another bye in the quarters and then lost to second seed  Maisie Lavelle 6-2, 6-1 in the quarters.
