Families were invited to play tennis for FREE at Totally Tennis on  Sunday 17th July at Stratton Park as part of this year’s Lawn Tennis Associations (LTA) Great British Tennis Weekend (GBTW). Along with other tennis centres across the country, the club offered free tennis and coaching for people of all ages and abilities, the perfect day out for family and friends. The sessions at Stratton Park followed on from the first event held at the War Memorial Park back in May.

There were three seasons run by Head Coach James Macintosh, Munchkins  and Adults, Juniors and players with disabilities and Family time which was attended by forty people overall.

The GBTW scheme is designed to get people outdoors and trying tennis for free this summer at various locations countrywide on three summer weekends. Thousands of free events took place across the country for the whole family offering players the chance to experience Highland Spring Mini Tennis, Cardio Tennis, coaching and relaxed free play.

Macintosh said ”It was great to see so many new players and I hope they all enjoyed themselves and will return to play again.”FullSizeRender
