Totally Tennis performance players Kirsty Da Silva and Jasmin Bromilow were runners-up in the 18 and under Girls Doubles at the Ash Manor Easter Open.
Da Silva, who won the 14 and under Girls Singles title on opening day of the week long tournament, teamed up with Bromilow to compete in the Grade 4 event held on Good Friday at Ash Manor Tennis Centre near Guildford. The duo, who were second seeds, beat fellow Totally Tennis club mate Tillie Reid and her partner Sienna Boyce in the semi finals in a close match with both sets going to tie-breaks 5-4(4), 5-4(2).
In the final they faced the strong pairing of Azra Ozerin and Shanice Weekes who were the top seeds and they lost 4-0, 4-0 to finish as very creditable runners-up.
Sue Da Silva, Kirsty’s mum said, “Kirsty and Jasmin both played really well but the top pair were just too good on the day.”
