Tip 16: Using The Slice Backhand Approach Shot
With Wimbledon approaching you will see players looking to move into the net on a faster court surface. A good shot to use is the backhand slice approach as the ball will stay low making it difficult for your opponent to pass, setting you up for a finishing volley.
Wrong – Racket is too low so you will not get underneath the ball and it will go to high giving your opponent more time.
Correct – The racket is higher to come down on the ball to keep it lower over the net
