Tip 23: Serve and Volley

To serve and volley you must commit to moving forwards after you have hit your serve and continue to move towards the net for the volley. Always split step before you hit the volley as this will help you move to the right direction and improve your timing of the ball.  If you do not stop and split step, you may end up contacting the ball late which will either cause you to hit a poor volley and lose the point or miss the volley completely.
