Head coach James McIntosh achieved a PB (personal Best) of 1:24:42 in the Wokingham Half Marathon last weekend as he continues to train hard for the Virgin Money London Marathon on 26th April.
McIntosh is running to raise awareness and much needed funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK in memory of his father who sadly passed away from the disease just three weeks after being diagnosed.
An all day bake sale will be taking place at Totally Tennis this Friday (28th February) to raise money towards McIntosh’s £1,000 target.
McIntosh said “I still have plenty of training left to do. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, I’m now at 26% of the target, please keep on donating.”

Pancreatic cancer is a tough disease to diagnose, to treat, to research and even tougher to survive. For too long this disease has been sidelined, it’s important that everyone affected by it gets all the help they need. Pancreatic Cancer UK support those affected by the disease, investing in ground breaking research, lobbying for greater recognition of pancreatic cancer and being a voice for everyone involved in the fight.
