COVID-19 Update – 21/03/2020

Following the government announcement yesterday Totally Tennis indoor facilities will unfortunately be closed from Saturday 21st March 2020 until further notice.

We all know tennis is a unique sport which has many benefits – the main one being health and wellbeing. The Government has currently indicated that physical exercise that takes place at a safe distance from others and in safe exercise environments is something that can continue at this time.

The Department of Culture, Media and Sport has specifically advised that tennis is one of the best examples of social distancing in practice, and so should be encouraged as long as the guidance permits.

With this in mind there will be no group coaching sessions but the outdoor courts at Totally Tennis and also at Stratton Park are currently available for you to book and for the coaches to use for individual lessons should they wish to do so.  The courts will be free for you to use, however the clubhouse, changing and toilet facilities will remain closed.

Direct Debits and Squad payments

For those of you who have Direct Debit payments for squads, we will cancel your Direct Debit payments from the 1st of April onwards until squads are resumed.  We will work out the amount that is owed up to Friday 20th March and if there is a balance outstanding, we will be asking you for that balance.  The reason for this is that we spread the DD payments over 12 months.

If you have paid for the term up front, we will credit your account for the last two weeks, when squads are resumed.

Obviously, the situation changes daily so we will stay in touch and hope that we are back in full swing soon!

Please note that although we are housed in a council building and adhere to council guidelines we operate as a small business and we will do our utmost to provide a service and keep the tennis center operational (following the latest Government Guidelines) at this difficult and unprecedented time.

We would like to thank all our Totally Tennis players for your support, and we wish you to all stay safe.  We will be available to answer any of your questions about playing tennis at a social distance.

Thank you and stay safe

The Totally Tennis Team
