Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning

Totally Tennis held it’s World’s Biggest Coffee morning event in support of Macmillan Cancer Support alongside the clubs’ regular Mixed Morning session last Friday. Players enjoyed the drills and matchplay session followed by coffee and cakes, with the club raising just over £83 (to date) to contribute to the charity’s goal to meet its 2017 target. Coffee and cakes were served throughout the day for parents of squad players too.

Macmillan want to be there for them all, their goal is to make sure no one faces cancer alone, providing medical, emotional, practical and financial support, as well as campaigning for better cancer care.

The Mixed B team won Division 4 and they remained undefeated all season winning four and drawing one of their matches. The team members were Nick Pogmore, Steve Kilgannon, Amy Wigham, Jacqui Black and Tracy Grout.
Head Coach James McIntosh, “Well done to all of the teams who competed this year in the Basingstoke & District Tennis Winter League and especially those who captained the teams throughout the season.

50+ Christmas Festivities 2016

The 50+ players, who play together every Wednesday morning at Totally Tennis, enjoyed their now annual Christmas Party after their session last week with lots of festive food and a glass of bubbly or two which added to the yuletide cheer. The on-court session was led by coaches James Macintosh and George Thomas who were then joined by other members of the coaching team to enjoy the party and celebrate another great year of tennis with the players as well as the forthcoming Christmas season. There were even a few Christmas jumpers! Cheers to all the players and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2017.
