TT Tour Sony Open

The latest TT Tour competition, The Sony Open, took place at the indoor centre on 24th May with junior players competing in Red, Orange and Green events.

Dinobi Okafor won the Red event with Henry Terry finishing as runner-up, Megan Fisher was third, Sophie Barlow in fourth and Nima Bahri finished in fifth place overall.

In the Orange event, Hayden Cummings was the overall winner followed by Daniel Ward in second place, Lewis Pearce was third, Carmen Vinuales was fourth and then Luke Shattock, Thorsten Ritcher and Dihiyah Khan.

Chi Chi Okafor was Green event winner with Tinuke Adelakun in the runner-up position followed by Fechi Okafor, Dylan Hall Jones, Jack Moria, Edward Terry, Mikun Adeniran, Diego Visuals and Ryan Farr

Nick Dingwall who ran the vent said “A great turn out for the Sony Open, congratulations to everyone who participated. It was good to see everyone continuing to learn the format of matches whilst playing and also enjoying a variety of tennis games during the event.” he added “Well done to Dinobi, Hayden and Chi Chi for winning the events, we are looking forward to seeing everyone at the French Open in May .”

TT Tour Dates 2016

Sunday 22nd May – French Open

Sunday 26th June – Wimbledon

Sunday 11th September – US Open

Sunday 16th October – Valencia Open

Sunday 13th November – Grand Finals (by invitation)

PLAYERS MUST BOOK IN BEFORE EACH EVENT. Minimum of FOUR players will be needed per age group otherwise it may get cancelled.

Red (Pirates, Indians, Red Squad) – 10am -12 noon
Orange (Dodgers, Orange Squad) 10am -12 noon
Green (Giants, Green Squad 1pm – 3pm
Yellow (C.B, A SQUAD, Performance) 1pm – 3pm

All players interested in participating can book in reception or call the office on 01256 358816. Each event costs £6.50 per player

Rounding off another successful tennis month, Isla was runner-up in the singles and winner in the doubles (with partner Jessica Matthews pictured below)  at the Milton Keynes Junior Easter Open
