Happy New Year from the team at Totally Tennis. The coaching team, which includes three new members, are looking forward to welcoming everyone on court to get 2019 off to a fit and healthy start.
Junior squads re-start from 7th January (tomorrow) and new team members Jane Timmis, Jamie Barry and Julia Moore will be involved in coaching the junior sessions as well as adult sessions.
Jane Timmis is an LTA Accredited+ Level 5 Coach, the top coaching level available and she has extensive experience in coaching individuals and groups across all age ranges. With a lifelong love of tennis, she has recently returned to coaching and is keen to impart her knowledge and enthusiasm for the game onto others. Jane plays competitively for her club and county and in 2018 she represented England as well as a member of her club team that won the European Club Championship title in her age group.
Julia Moore is an experienced player who is ranked top ten in her county and 125 in the world for her age group. As a coach, she ensures players enjoy themselves while improving technical and tactical techniques and their mental game. Jamie Barry has played for seventeen years and was in fact previously coached by a former Totally Tennis performance player and coach Jason Jokhoo. He has won many titles and currently represents Wiltshire in County Cup Events, Jamie has chosen coaching as a career as he loves to help players reach their full potential.
Tennis Director Nigel Long said. “We would like to welcome our new coaches Jane, Jamie and Julia to the team. They have a great tennis pedigree and we are more than delighted that they have decided to join Totally Tennis in 2019.”
He added, “Jordan, Jamie and Ben have decided to move on with their careers elsewhere and we wish them all the best in their new ventures.”
