Junior performance player Hayden Cummings won the 12 & under Boys title at the East Winter County Tour held at Cantley Park in Berkshire.
In the quarter final Cummings beat Aarush Garde 4-0, 4-0, Harry Caulton in the semis 4-2, 4-1 and James Parnwell 4-3(6), 4-0 in the final to win teh event.
Cummings was runner-up in the South East Winter County Tour 14 & under Boys singles played at the Guildford Tennis Academy. In the quarter finals he beat Haydn Wydenbach 4-0, 4-0 followed by Lev Surkov in the semis 4-2, 4-0 but lost a three set battle in the final against Sebastian Goodbody 2-4, 4-0, 10-3 to finish as runner-up.

Performance player Isla Hignett played in the 16 & under girls singles at the Eastleigh Open 2019, held at the David Lloyd Club in Southampton, finishing in the runner-up spot.
Second seed Hignett had a bye in the first round and then beat Daisy Doherty 6-1, 6-1 in the quarters and fourth seed Isabella Hope in the semis 6-1, 6-2 before losing in the final against third seed Nora Khediri 6-3, 7-5. In the 16 and under Girls Doubles Hignett and partner Tillie Reid defeated Olivia Higgs and Polina Ivanushkina in the quarters 4-0, 4-0 but lost out in the semis to top seeds Helen Coomber and Amelia Monteith 4-1, 4-0. Reid also competed in the singles but lost in the first round against Scarlett Doman 6-1, 6-0.
In the 12 & under boys singles Hayden Cummings lost in the first round against second seed Olivier Paris 7-6(2), 6-1. He also played in the 12 & under Boys Doubles with partner Oliver Rycroft losing in the quarters to Jack Ford and Henry Hughes 4-2, 4-2. The pair were runners-up in the 12 & under Boys Doubles consolation event after losing to Thomas Hargreave and Noah Mayers in the final 4-2,2-4, 10-6.
Performance player Hayden Cumming has been busy competing in different tournaments in both singles and doubles competitions.
Last weekend he won the 12 & under Boys title at the Bucks Indoor Winter County Tour held at the Bucks Indoor Tennis Centre in High Wycombe. In the quarter final he beat Theron Mixides 4-1, 4-2 followed by Gabriel Hall 4-1, 4-2 in the semis and then defeated Gabriel Riminton in the final 4-0, 4-2 to win the event.
At the South West Winter County Tour held at Totally Tennis last month Cummings and partner Thomas Allen-Green competed in the 14 & under Boys Doubles event finishing in 5th place. In the first round, of the event run by coach Liam Hignett, the pair beat Edward Hewlett/Tom Harris 3-4 (4), 4-1, [10-6] but then lost to eventual runners-up Aidan Fletcher/Dennis Dimov in the quarters 3-4 (11), 4-1, [10-2]. They then played Daniel Joita/Conrad Plum in their first play-off match winning 4-0, 4-1 and then beat Christian Rowbotham/Cesar Muresan 4-1, 4-1 in their second play-off match to finish in 5th position overall.
In the East Winter County Tour, held at Maidenhead Lawn Tennis Centre, Cummings competed in the 12 & under Boys Doubles event with partner Theodor Kraytchev. Unfortunately the boys lost in the first round against eventual winners James Parnwell/Conrad Plum 4-2, 3-4(4), [11-9] but went on to win the consolation event after beating Thomas Taylor-Widgery/Ben Shaer in the semis 4-3(3), 4-0 and Zac Peters/Joshua Fienberg in the final 4-0, 4-0.

Totally Tennis performance player Hayden Cummings told a break from the chilly weather in the UK earlier this month for some clay court training at the winter training camp at La Manga Club in Spain.
Cummings dad Ben said,” It was amazing for Hayden to spend time in the most fantastic learning environment and be on court spending time with Jo Durie.”
La Manga Club Tennis Centre in Murcia is one of the most important and prestigious outdoor tennis centres in Europe. It’s home to prestigious tournaments such as the Davis Cup, the Fed Cup and ATP/ITFevents, boasts a total of 28 tennis courts: 20 clay courts, including a show court and a main centre court.

The latest South West Winter County Tour event run by performance player and coach Liam Hignett took place at Totally Tennis’ indoor centre last weekend.
Two of the clubs mini performance players Hayden Cummings and Nikesh Bomma competed in the 10 and under Boys competition along with nine other players. Top seed Cummings beat Cameron Bagha in the quarters 4-0, 4-0 but was then knocked out of the competition by eventual winner Michael Cooke in the semis 4-1, 4-3(3). Bomma defeated Alexander Bruce 4-2, 4-3(2) in his quarter final match followed by Marcin Kornijczuk in the semis 4-0, 4-2 before losing to Cooke in the three set final 4-3(1), 3-4(4), 10-3 to finish in second place overall. Cummings finished in fourth place.
Bomma’s coach Jamie Jordan said. “Nikesh played unbelievably well in his second ever tournament and second time he got to the final.” He added, “He’s really enjoying competing and working on getting his rating higher. Great effort Nikesh, keep up the good work.”
In last month’s South West Winter County Tour Men’s event held last month, also run by Hignett, Totally Tennis’ Loic Armstrong was in action. Armstrong beat Paul Stavely 4-0, 4-1 in the first round but lost against third seed Sam Li 4-1, 3-4(1), 10-6 in the quarters. Top seed George Russell won the event.
Totally Tennis mini performance player Hayden Cummings won the 10 and Under Mixed title at the South West Summer County Tour held at David Lloyd Southampton at the beginning of the month.
In the group stages, Cummings won Box C beating Zoe Totolici 4-1 and Thomas Allen-Green 4-0. Club mates Guhan and Gevin Chendhilkumar played in Box A and B respectively and both won and lost a match so all three boys progressed to the main draw.
In the quarter finals, Cummings defeated Guhan 4-0 and Kevin lost to Group D winner Oliver Cole 4-2. Cummings then beat Aleksander Kudla 4-0 in the semis and Finley Betteridge-Hanson 4-2 in the final to win the tournament.
