Tennis Talk: Team GB Seal Davis Cup Victory Against The USA

British number one Andy Murray sealed Team GB’s Davis Cup victory in the World Group against Team USA with a straight-sets win on the final day against John Isner at The Emirates Stadium in Glasgow. This victory gave Team GB an unbeatable 3-1 lead and booked the team’s place in the quarter-finals against France in July.

The anticipated Murray brothers versus Bryan brother match did not happen as captain Leon Smith made the decision to keep Andy fresh for his final singles match the following day, an excellent decision as it turned out.
